Dragan Mektić faktor.baMinister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić stated yesterday in Mostar that there is a real possibility that a terrorist attack happens again at the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The greatest challenges that currently burden the entire climate in Bosnia and Herzegovina are radicalism and violent extremism, out of which many terrorist acts that occurred in BiH deviated. Moreover, I believe there is a real possibility that terrorist attacks happen again,” Mektić said.

Minister of Security also said that extremism and radicalism are not the only current threats to BiH, and that the one that has infiltrated all spheres of life in the past 20 years, corruption, is just as dangerous.

“As much as the threat of violent extremism and radicalism is great, so is corruption, which has infiltrated all spheres of political, social and economic life in BiH over the past 20 years and which seriously threats to destroy BiH as a state in key elements. I primarily refer to economic, political and social sense because it is generally known that corruption became a way of solving primary, elementary problems in BiH. In the end, the thieving privatization of many companies in BiH is also a serious threat to stability and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Mektić said.
