Rally for Aleppo held in Zenica

zenica-for-aleppoSeveral thousand citizens of Zenica participated in a peaceful rally and protest walk for Aleppo yesterday. Organizer was the Association “Hedija”.

The gathered ones reminded of the experience from the genocide in Srebrenica, emphasizing that precisely because of that attention must be drawn to the events in Syria and mass killings of Syrian civilians.

“We cannot be silent when we see what happens in Syria and that is why we are here today, to condemn what happens there. If we are not able to help the Syrian people in another way, we can at least publicly say that we are against it,” it was stated yesterday.

Citizens at the rally were greeted by numerous peace activists who expressed the need of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its politicians to protect the innocent civilians in Aleppo and Syria, who are suffering unimaginable terror with constant bombing of the city.
