Rangel: there is no enough Support from the EU for Bosnia-Herzegovina

The newly appointed European Parliament’s Special Rapporteur for Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), Paulo Rangel, believes that BiH has a chance of speeding up European Union accession, but that it needs to improve the situation in society as soon as possible.

“The appointment of Zoran Tegeltija as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers represents progress,” Rangel said.

He believes that EU accession will not be an easy process, especially given the migrant crisis and the problems with camps for migrant accommodation in BiH, and these issues cannot be resolved without EU assistance.

“But, frankly, I think that there is no support from the EU. As for the financial injection, I think it’s enough, but it’s not about the money.”

Specialists are needed to help in the field, Rangel concluded.
