Representatives of the City of Tuzla hosted an official reception for Razija Mujanovic, one of the best basketball players of all times in the world, who was recently admitted to the FIBA’s House of Fame.

Mujanovic made his first basketball steps in Tuzla, where her coach was the successful Mihajlo Vukovic, who was called Miki. She was the best European player three times, in 1991, 1994 and 1995. She was the European Champion with Jedinstvo from Tuzla in 1989, with Dorna Godella (Spain) in 1992, and with the Italian club Poll Comense in 1994 and 1995.

She also won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 and the silver medal at the World Championships in Malaysia in 1990 and she led BiH to the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in 1993.

“I am glad to be back in Tuzla because I started here and it is the most beautiful here,” said Mujanovic, after the reception.

Talking about the extraordinary success that Mujanovic achieved, the Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamovic said that her success represents an unreachable goal for numerous players of all times.

“All of this is very impressive and a great honor for BiH, and especially for Tuzla and citizens of Tuzla. I would like to express my gratitude and respect to Mrs. Razija Raza Mujanovic,” said Mayor Imamovic.

During the meeting, they also talked about fans in Mejdan Hall in Tuzla, who, as Mujanovic noted, supported her and cheered for her even when she did things that were nothing special. The audience in Tuzla welcomed her in Mejdan Hall in Tuzla at 5 PM before the start of the match between BC Jedinstvo BH Telecom and Zeljeznicar.
