The International League of Humanists (ILH), the League for Peace and World United Adopted a Decision on the award of the Golden Charter of Sports and Culture of Peace “Juan Antonio Samaranch” to the BiH football team and coach Sušić.
This recognition is given as part of the long-term project ILH “Sport in building a culture of peace, dialogue and intercultural understanding’’ and on the basis of the declaration that Juan Antonio Samaranch (2007 in Barcelona) gave to the International League of Humanists in order to popularize sport and new democracies.
The BiH football team and coach Safet Sušić received this Charter as a sign of long-lasting gratitude and recognition for all that the team in the last period did for BiH, both internally and externally.
As the best ambassadors of our country in the world, they have shown the greatest value of BiH and gave all of us hope for a better future, and gave an invaluable contribute to the peace mission of the International League of Humanists in BiH as a country in which it has its headquarters.
The official ceremony for the delivery of the awards and supporting decision on the handing out of the awards will take place in Sarajevo on 10 October 2013.
