The heat wave that hit the whole of Serbia also exploded in Čačak. During the afternoon, one of the meters in the strict center of the city measured an incredible 50 degrees.

“Today, Čačak is a ghost town, there is no living soul. It’s abnormally hot, I don’t know how officially the temperature was measured, but the subjective feeling is exactly as if it’s 50 degrees. You can’t breathe, you can’t function,” he told RINU Milica Bogdanović from Cačan, as written by b92.

Cafe gardens were completely empty, and many people sought salvation at the city swimming pools and on the banks of the Western Morava, where after a long time of waiting, constitutions were raised and Čačak got its own sea.

Due to the predicted very high temperatures in the following days, night swimming will also be available at the pools tomorrow.
