180501407amAccording to the Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vjekoslav Čamber, the Government of the Federation and the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs are working intensively on the development of programs for endangered areas.

Today at the international conference “Employment Challenges in a time of Economic Crisis,” which takes place in Čapljina, minister said the following: “These days Ministry is engaged in intense negotiations with international organizations, particularly with UNICEF about the further actions. Moreover, we have already contacted all the social work centers in order to provide the Federal Ministry with all necessary information from the field. Moreover, in this manner we can make a plan to eliminate these damages, but it has to be confessed that without significant international assistance we would hardly manage to fight against this cataclysm”.

The Director of the Federal Employment Service Kenan Rešo emphasized that the Institute is preparing a program in which two thousand unemployed citizens will be engaged in activities related to the elimination of the consequences of the devastating floods in the northern parts of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

“In my opinion, we will have this program put in a parliamentary procedure in next two days. In the first phase of the project we plan to employ about two thousand unemployed for a period of three months. In that period they will be paid a minimum wage as well as pension insurance. The total ‘weight’ of this program is about 3.5 million KM, and the funds will be provided by reallocation of Federal Institute for Employment “added Rešo.

Additionally, Croatian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Mirando Mrsić expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in floods and promised help from Croatia, as well as other EU countries.

“Human sacrifices cannot be returned, but life in the areas has to be returned”, added Mrsić.
