Following the devastating earthquake that struck the Turkish city of Elazig, Red Cross of Bosnia-Herzegovina sent their condolences to the Red Crescent and Turkish citizens and expressed their readiness to organize assistance for the injured population.
The leadership of Red Cross of Bosnia-Herzegovina has been in constant contact with representatives of the Turkish Red Crescent, who have informed them that Turkey has not requested international assistance at this time.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and be prepared to do so and we will organize a solidarity action to raise assistance for population killed in an earthquake in Turkey, ” Red Cross of Bosnia-Herzegovina the said.
They point out that, apart from organizing a solidarity action, they are ready to send volunteers and staff trained in disaster and natural disasters.
