12803978_1117659868284968_166636304_nHouse of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH received the Report on progress in implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Reform Agenda on the level of the Council of Ministers of BiH, presented to the delegates by the chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić.

“Speaking of the Council of Ministers of BiH, I can say that in six months we have implemented 17 out of 33 foreseen general measures, which is more than 50 percent of foreseen measures and measures defined in the text of the Economic Reform Agenda for the level of the Council of Ministers,” Zvizdić said.

According to Zvizdić, governments of Republika Srpska and the FBiH well followed such dynamics, to a somewhat lesser extent. Depending on the viewpoint, the entities have implemented between 25 and 38 percent of the Reform Agenda within six months timeframe.

“Thus cumulatively, the institutions, organs of BiH, the Council of Ministers and the two entity governments implemented one third of the Economic Reform Agenda in six months and that has already yielded the early results in terms of slight economic growth or increase of all vital economic parameters which are a basis for assessing economic stability and economic development of BiH,” Zvizdić said.

Expressing satisfaction with the previous degree of implementation of foreseen measures and activities from the Economic Reform Agenda, Zvizdić highlighted that those are very serious laws, activities and measures.

“There will be more such measures. Measures will be tough, painful, but they have to be implemented in an expedited timeframe which cannot last for 48 months, which is the deadline for implementation of the Reform Agenda. It practically must be done in 2016 so that we would become an attractive area for domestic and foreign investors by improving economic circumstances and business environment,” Zvizdić said.

Zvizdić concluded that measures and activities foreseen in the Economic Reform Agenda are being implemented with the dynamics defined and planned in action plans of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the entity governments.

Moreover, Zvizdić stated that BiH records a growth of GDP by three percent and that all vital parameters in the past year have been positive, indicating a slight economic growth in BiH.
