The BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, in cooperation with the Permanent Working Group for Regional Rural Development in Southeast Europe (SWG) is organizing a two-day meeting beginning today of ministers for agriculture and food from Southeast European countries. It is the continuing of a meeting of ministers that was held on 5 March in Belgrade.
The central topic of the meeting is to discuss issues of mutual interest in the area of food security and to agree on harmonizing measures and activities for dealing with problems arising out of toxins in food.
The results of the work of the technical group would be the topic of the meeting of ministers that would be held tomorrow in the BiH institution building.
At today’s meeting there is a scheduled arrival of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Macedonia Ljupco Dimovski, the Minister of Agriculture of Croatia Tihomir Jakovina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia Goran Knežević, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Protection of Consumers of Albania Toklija Thoma, Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry of the FBiH Jerko Ivanković- Lijanović, Advisor of the RS Prime Minister Miroslav Milovanović and the Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Montenegro Danijela Stolica.
The scheduled meeting for tomorrow should last until 11:30, announced the BiH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.
