Lufthansa made its first flight on the Frankfurt-Sarajevo-Frankfurt route yesterday. It is about the connection of Sarajevo with the main hub of Lufthansa in Germany.

In May, this company will fly up to four times a week from / toSarajevo on this route, with an Airbus A319 aircraft. As of June this year, up to seven flightsa week are planned.

”By establishing these flights to Sarajevo, the Lufthansa Group will offer its passengers around the world better connections with Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is important to note that the LH Group in this way complements the existing connections of Austrian Airlines to Sarajevo from Vienna, but at the same time offers passengers from Bosnia and Herzegovina the opportunity to take full advantage of the Lufthansa Group’s global network,” it was announced.

Due to the negative effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic, especially in the aviation sector, all airlines review business activities on a daily basis and adapt them to the current situation.

”Aware of this fact, but also of the requirements and expectations of service users, Sarajevo International Airport is continuously undertaking activities to maintain, expand and increase air operations, which also applies to Lufthansa Group flights,” the Sarajevo Airport states, eKapija writes.
