Rehabilitation of Mehmed-paša Sokolović Bridge on Drina in Višegrad will start on the 1st April 2013, and general contractor is company ER-BU from Ankara.
Mayor of Višegrad Slaviša Mišković said: ” The rehabilitation of the bridge will last for 600 days and 40 experst, 20 artisans will be engaged in this project, as well as the local community.”
Mišković said that the rehabilitation will cost 9 million BAM, and it is planned to be finished by the end of 2014.
Mehmed-paša Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list since 2007, and the traffic over the bridge is forbidden.
