Religion novovrijeme.baIn the latest research by the Gallup Inc., in which more than 60 000 people were surveyed, 63 percent of the world’s population considers themselves religious.

Research has shown that religiosity increases in parallel with the lack of education. As many as 80 percent of respondents who do not have any level of education considers themselves religious people. That number is reduced in subjects with secondary and higher education, and is close to 60 percent.

Also, according to Gallup, religiosity is closely related to the economic situation of the respondents, where a high standard of living almost always means lower religiosity.

According to research by Gallup, 65 percent of the population in Bosnia and Herzegovina considers themselves religious, and 29 percent of citizens believe that religion is not a significant factor in life. Along with them, atheists represent three percent. Four percent of the respondents were not sure of their answer.
