Under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the exhumation of the terrain at the Hajvazi site in the Osmaci municipality was completed. Incomplete remains of at least one person, a victim of the past war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been found.

The remains will be transported to the Tuzla Commemorative Center, where forensic and forensic technical processing will be performed, ie bone samples will be taken in order to determine the identity of the victim by DNA analysis.

The field exhumation process was coordinated by an investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Employees of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a forensic doctor, necessary workers and mechanization, as well as police officers of the Osmaci Police Station who secured the location took part in the process of searching for and exhuming the remains, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.
