The students of Primary School “Suljo Cilic” from Jablanica were awarded for the most creative video at the World Educational Robot (WER) Contest, held in Shanghai.

On that occasion, their schoolmates, together with school teachers, had a formal welcome for their colleagues.
What was particularly interesting about this competition was the WER video category where teams had to design and record video about themselves and robotics, so the awards were awarded for the best team video, the most creative video, the best presentation and the best edited video.

Teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and region won prizes in each of the categories, so in the category for the best team video award won the Vrhbosna Primary School from Sarajevo (BiH ), the most creative video was awarded to Suljo Cilic from Jablanica (BiH) the best presentation was by Primary Sschool Julija Klovic from Zagreb (RH), and for the best editing Primary School Primosten from Primosten (RH).

Head of Primary School Suljo Cilic from Jablanica Edin Idrizovic said in a statement to the media that the results of the competition in China were part of sequence of events, ie the result of the work of children who were active throughout the summer.

“I am especially proud of our students who were part of the competition, because they showed, among other things, a high level of culture and behavior, so the rewards we received are not the most important thing to mention. What I want to emphasize is that we have become part of a large, world known, robotic family and we have been registered as one of the teams that won the award. It’s something fascinating and I can not describe the feeling when students came out with the flag of BiH and the Jablanica municipality, “ said Idrizovic.

He added that he sincerely would like to thank the students and their school teachers who, Idrizovic said, made a huge contribution from the very beginning of this competition and the first steps in Mostar.

“I would especially like to thank SPARK from Mostar, the organizer of the state robotic competition, which largely sponsored our students for this world competition. Of course, I have to say that we would not succeed in going there if we did not have the support of the Mayor of Jablanica – Salem Dedic , and especially the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Environment Protection of our Canton – Ajdin Teletovic, who was the general sponsor, and this whole story largely was made thanks to him, “ said Idrizovic.

Besides the mentioned award, Suljo Cilic Primary School from Jablanica was awarded with a special award for teamwork and contribution to the competition.
