Representatives of Parajemaats want to negotiate with Reis Kavazović!

received_1108937549157200Representatives of jamaats that the Islamic Community in BiH refers to as “parajamaats”, but who call themselves “independent jamaats”, are coming to Sarajevo where they expect negotiations with the Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein Effendi Kavazović on the occasion of the ultimatum of the Islamic community regarding the abolition of these jamaats by the end of February.

The notice by the Coordination of Independent Jamaats was forwarder to the media by Fatmir Alispahić and it is signed by Izet Hadžić, Emir Čajić, Bajro Kaljiković and Mirza Arapčić.

“Since there is no readiness for internal dialogue on the part of the Islamic Community, we are forced to involve the public in our sincere endeavor to end this affair that started without any reasonable interest for the Bosniaks. In this sense, we comply with the deadline set by the Islamic Community, the end of February, and we are coming to Sarajevo to offer a dialogue, understanding and unity on position of dignity and respect,” it was stated in the notice.

They ask Kavazović to assign them one of numerous premises of the Islamic Community in order to present their independent jamaats and conditions under which agreements can be made to him and the public in a decent environment on Saturday, February 27, at 11 a.m.

If you are inviting us to be a part of the Islamic Community, then the assignment of premises such as the hall in Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library is a logical and reasonable move. The worst would be if we came to Sarajevo and talk to the press on the street, when the Islamic Community has so much space to offer. Such an outcome would certainly not be our humiliation,” it was stated.

They stated that they want to show they are not people who avoid dialogue and order.

“Unlike those who are afraid of dialogue and truth so they run away from us, we are not afraid, because our intentions are sincere and pure. We do not want to jeopardize no one and nothing, and in turn we want no one to jeopardize our peace and freedoms that every citizen of BiH has. Perhaps that is the bright side of this ultimatum because it forced us to go out into the public, to inform the public about our activities as people who live of their work and have the right to gather and freedom of religion. Our desire is to leave no questions unclear or unanswered because we have nothing to hide,” the statement said in the end.
