SDA was the first party that held consultations with the EU Delegation to BiH concerning the attempt to find a solution to the implementation of the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in the ‘’ Sejdić-Finci’’ case.
One of the participants in the talks, Vice-President of SDA Senad Šepić confirmed to Agency FENA that the discussions on behalf of the EU Delegation was given by the Deputy of the Delegation Renzo Daviddi, while members of SDA who attended were the Vice-President Šefik Džaferović, President of the Main Board SDA Halid Genjac and Alma Čolo.
Talks between the EU Delegation to BiH with representatives of the leading BiH parties are an attempt by the EU to help find a solution for the “Sejdić-Finci” cause and to finally move along BiH’s process of EU integration.
As announced earlier by the EU Delegation, bilateral talks are planned for this week with representatives of the seven leading political parties, but they will pay attention to parties that have fewer representatives. They have in mind the experience with the “April Package” of constitutional changes, which lacked only two votes for its passage.
There is a warning from the EU that, as long as the BiH Constitution does not comply with the ruling, there is not way for BiH to continue its European path.
For BiH to take a step forward in EU integration, by March there has to be a decision on achieving ‘’credible effort’’.
