The Minister of Environment and Tourism of the Federation of B&H Branka Đurić welcomed today the delegation of Turkish tour operators and tourist agencies in Sarajevo. The delegation of Turkish tour operators and tourist agencies are currently residing in B&H within their ”Balkan tour”- FAM Trip visit.
Minister Đurić welcomed Turkish representative as used this opportunity to express her gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey for their help and support in improving the tourist offer of B&H. The Minister also informed the guests that one group of B&H applicants assigned for the expansion of winter centers will soon visit Turkey, where they will attend an investment conference.
” I hope that the culture of B&H, which is a mixture of the East and the West, Middle Europe and the Mediterranean, will delight all tourits who visit our country. B&H has the potential for developing more selective shapes of tourism and it does not have to be limited only to seasonal tourism, whether summer or winter tourism”- said Đurić.
Minister Đurić also emphasized that according to the number of tourists visiting B&H, in the previous two years Turkey has moved from the fourth to the second place and expressed the hope to improve that position with time.
The representatives of the Turkish tour operator and tourist agencies were unanimous in their evaluation of B&H by saying that it is full of natural beauties and other tourist attractions, and that through a good collaboration and the support of B&H institutions the number of tourists will be increased in the future. The three-day visit and promotion of B&H tourist destinations was organized by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism in the collaboration with the ”Devim Tours” Agency from Sarajevo.
The reason why the tourist agencies are on the ”Balkan Tour”- FAM Trip is the great interest for our country that grew after B&H officially presented itself on the International Fair in Izmir (2012) and on the International Tourism Fair in Istanbul (EMITT 2013).
Besides Sarajevo and Bjelašnica, the Turkish delegation will also visit Fojnica, Travnik, Vlašić, Konjic, Jablanica, Mostar, Blagaj and Kravice waterfalls before their visit to Croatia.
