Republika Srpska requests 161 Million BAM from Saudi Arabia

Two days ago, the Government of Republika Srpska (RS)adopted information on project proposals for financing from the Saudi Development Fund and selected nine projects with a total value of 161.6 million BAM, which will be nominated in the April term.

Applications for financing from the Saudi Fund are submitted twice a year.

On February 16th, the Ministry of Finance previously submitted to all ministries, local self-government units, and other public enterprises, institutions and/or public organizations guidelines for applying projects to the Saudi Development Fund. A total of 77 project proposals with a total value of 2.5 billion BAM were received.

”44 project proposals were submitted from the Ministries’ responsibilities, for which the value of 2.2 billion BAM was applied, and four projects with a total value of 116.9 million BAM were selected. Looking at the structure of submitted applications, the highest values are from the energy sector (945 million BAM) and traffic (1 million BAM). From the departmental jurisdiction of local self-government units, 33 project proposals were submitted, for which the value of 264 million BAM was applied, and five projects with a total value of 44.8 million BAM were selected,” it was announced by the Ministry of Finance of the RS.

The projects that have been proposed for financing from the Saudi Development Fund are: Regulation of the bed of the Krizevica river in Srebrenica, worth 11.5 million BAM, the 2nd phase of construction and furnishing of the student dormitory in Vlasenica, worth 8.2 million, Construction of the High School Center East Ilidza”, worth 9.7 million BAM, Infrastructure projects in Prijedor worth 9.4 million BAM, Modernization of the waste management system in Gradiska 5.9 million BAM.

There is also a project for the reconstruction, construction and equipping of four psychiatric institutions in the RS, worth a total of 23.2 million BAM, Reconstruction and rehabilitation of the distribution network with the replacement of transformers and equipment of 35/10 substations, worth 6 million BAM(Elektroprivreda ad Trebinje), Rehabilitation and reconstruction of the “Krizevici” tunnel (Railways of the RS) worth 62.5 million BAM, Reconstruction of tunnels on the road network (Public Utility ”Roads” – ”Putevi”), worth 25 million BAM, Mondo reported.
