The Government of Republika Srpska (RS) announced that no agreement was reached on the minimum wage for the next year during the session of the Economic and Social Council.
The union is demanding that the entity government make a final decision to set the minimum wage for 2025 at 1.050 BAM, stated Ranka Misic, the president of the Confederation of Trade Unions.
She said they were ready to reach a compromise during the meeting.
“However, nothing happened. Employers, specifically representatives of the Employers’ Union, do not want to discuss an increase to the current minimum wage of 900 BAM,” Misic said, adding that workers in RS deserve a raise in the minimum wage.
