Residents of BiH to remember Martyrs Today

The second day of Ramadan Bayram holiday in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bih) is marked as Martyrs Day. On that day, visits to the martyrs cemetary are organized, visits to families, classes are given in order to recall on their sacrifice.

At the martyrs’ cemetery “Kovaci” in Sarajevo today, numerous delegations will place flowers on the memorial of the deceased of the recent war in BiH, as well as on the ceremony of the first presidency of the RBiH Alija Izetbegovic, and a religious program will take place as well.

Also, prayer will be made for all martyrs in the Begova mosque.

This day will be marked in Mostar, Tuzla, Zenica and other cities.

The Martyrs day was established by the decision of the Islamic Community in BiH on January 23rd, 1995.
