Citizens of Bihac, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Government of the United Kingdom organized the first spring action to clean the city, in which several migrants participated as well.

“A unique event, a major action to clear the city in which, apart from the local population, migrants also participate. We want to show the will of all, whether temporary or permanent residents of Bihac, to contribute to the cleanliness of the city. We have created this in order to get to know each other and to work together, because we can only get close to one another in this way,” said Merima Suljic, one of the organizers.

The action was carried out at five locations in the city center and around migrant reception centers.

The Tourist Board of the City of Bihac has also started preparations for the traditional spring cleaning action of the city, which will be realized this year under the title “Ecosystems – Water and Land for Clean Bihac”, Federal News Agency reports.
