Restaurant Novak Opened glassrpske.comAfter Belgrade and Kopaonik, Banja Luka also got a restaurant “Novak” within the franchise franšizi “Novak Café & Restaurant” owned by the family of the Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic. The restaurant officially started working yesterday, at the famous Banja Luka picnic site Banj brdo.

Numerous photographs, tennis balls, and two LCD TVs which show Novak’s matches, best moves in the matches, and award presentations at the very entrance to the restaurant undoubtedly tell you that you are a guest of the tennis star. In addition to two halls of which one is a café and the other one a restaurant with around 80 seats, the restaurant also disposes with five outdoor terraces with total capacity of around 300 seats. Employees in the restaurant say that the interior of the object was done by the same team who equipped the other facilities within the”Novak” restaurant chain.

Employees also said that the furnishing is not completed yet, that flower pots and some other trinkets are still missing, but that the restaurant should be fully furnished already by the middle of next week, when the father of the famous Serbian tennis player Srdjan Djokovic is also expected to arrive.

However, a large number of citizens, mostly recreationists, sportsmen, and those who often spend time at this picnic area, is not thrilled because of the opening of this object, since they want Banj brdo to be preserved as a recreational zone. That, according to them, will not be possible if the ramp that prevents motor vehicles traffic is removed. The ramp was still positioned at the entrance to the picnic area yesterday, but only symbolically.

Banj brdo is the most famous picnic site of Banja Luka rich in forests, walking and hiking trails, drinking water springs, arranged resting places and entertainment areas, and it is located 431 meters above sea level.
