RoodenThe head of the IMF Mission for BiH, Ron van Rooden, said that the economic progress is felt in BiH, but without bigger reforms, the country will not be able to join developed countries, and that means that there will be no new workplaces.

But, on the other hand, as Rooden emphasized, the authorities showed the grate readiness to implement reforms in the public sector, health care, employment in the private sector.

“We hope that this will happen. If the reforms are implemented, for several years, BiH would not need the IMF.“

The predicted GDP growth in 2015 is 2%.

“It is insufficient if reforms are not implemented, but if reforms are implemented, the economic growth could be even 4% in the coming years.

The delegation of the IMF stayed in BiH from 28th April 2015, and visited Banja Luka, Sarajevo and held talks at the basis of the Article IV for 2015.
