For the support of an unemployed parent of four or more children in the Republika Srpska in 2024, an amount of 59.95 million BAM is planned, which was allocated last year, Srna news agency was told in the Government of the RS.

On January 1 of last year, the Law on support for an unemployed parent of four or more children in the Republika Srpska came into force, which regulates a special way of supporting an unemployed parent of four or more children in the RS, which is realized by recognizing the right to monetary income and related contributions.

The monetary income is paid in a monthly amount determined by the Government by decision, which cannot be lower than 750 BAM, and tax and related contributions are paid on the income.

The implementation of this measure began in September 2022.

According to the Government’s decision on the payment of financial assistance to unemployed parents of four or more children in the RS, payment was made from September to December 2022, with the aim of improving the quality of family life and the financial status of these families.

Even then, financial assistance was provided in the monthly amount of 750 BAM.

“BAM 11.4 million has been allocated for these purposes for the four months of 2022,” the Government pointed out.
