Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Savo Minić announced today that the RS Government has decided to refund the entire amount of excise duty on fuel purchased to citizens in the RS, i.e. 0.10 BAM for each liter purchased.
After the RS Government session, he said that all citizens who have an ID card issued by the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs will have this right.
“This decision has been made for a period of one month so that we can monitor the situation in the field and on the market, and so that there are no abuses. Let me say right away that we know approximately how much fuel is consumed,” said Minić.
He said that the refund model will be similar to the model by which farmers fill up with reclaimed fuel at gas stations in the RS.
“We only need a few more days to see which gas stations will be in this system. They will reduce the bill for citizens on the spot, and we will pay the difference to the gas stations,” explained Minić.
Republika Srpska Minister of Finance Zora Vidović stated that the RS Government has established a set of laws on increasing salaries for all budget beneficiaries and healthcare employees by five percent, and that the RS National Assembly will vote on this on Monday, March 30.
Republika Srpska Minister of Trade and Tourism Ned Puhovac said that the republican inspection was in control of 55 entities in connection with the supervision of the implementation of the Decision on the limited margin on basic foodstuffs, hygiene and medicines.
“In 37 cases, violations were found. I must also say that we are not satisfied with the work of city and municipal inspections, which did not find a single violation, and the republican inspection denied them,” Puhovac said.
