The RS to take Another Loan for Highway Construction?

roadsYesterday, the Government of  the RS gave consent for negotiations with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the aim of taking another loan in the amount of 70.000.000 EUR for the purpose of funding work on the project of construction of the part of Corridor 5-C, section from the loop Johovac (Tovira) to loop Rudanka (Kostajnica).

The project will be funded with funds from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, if already approved funds from WBIF are not operational, and in case that grant funds are operational, that loan would be in the amount of 56.000.000 EUR, as announced yesterday after the session of entity government.

Entity government gave consent for negotiations with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank with the aim of taking an additional loan in the amount of 47.000.000 EUR per the Project of construction of highway Banja Luka – Doboj.

With the aim of completing works on the project of construction of motorway from Banja Luka to Doboj, the RS will take an additional loan from European Investment Bank in the amount of 37.000.000 EIR and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of 10.000.000 EUR.

The government of the RS decided to accept the loan from the World Bank on the Project of support for employment in the amount of 21 million EUR, which represents 42 % of 50.000.000 EUR of total loan for BiH.

The aim of the p¸roject is an increase of employment rate in private sector of chosen target groups of registered unemployed people (young, long-term unemployed and people aged over 40 years), as well for strengthening services of the Institute for Employment of the RS.
