veterani_blThe Association of War Veterans of the RS will not protest tomorrow. The protest was originally scheduled to take place tomorrow in Banja Luka.

‘’We know well that on Saturday there will be the Requiem (religious holiday that entails visiting graves) and that this is a holy day. We will be at the military cemetery in Sokolac, to worship our fallen soldiers and to listen to their voices one more time, because that voice does not reach anyone anymore‘’, said Duško Vukotić, President of the RS Veterans Association.

He explained that after the memorial service the headquarters for the organization of peaceful protests remains in permanent session.

‘’There will be a protest, but when we are able to guarantee to all citizens of Banja Luka that no incident will take place, because we have created Banja Luka and all of the RS. We take care of it and we will continue to take care of it’’, said Vukotić.

He said that the announcement about Saturday’s protest were only ‘’part of the tactic that gave veterans time to break away from any attempt to exert political pressure on the veterans’’.
