Ten years have passed since Nisvet Dzanko, the legendary television host and the editor of the “Positive geography” series, which was broadcasted on Federal Television for years, left us forever. His heart lost his final battle at the age of 49, at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, where he had liver transplantation only ten days before he passed away.

“While we were going to Tuzla for a liver transplantation, Džanko was kidding all the time. He stopped after he fell asleep due to the received anesthesia,” said Nenad Djuric, a director and close friend of Nisvet Dzanko.

The postoperative course was going fine in the next couple of days, but the health condition of Nisvet Dzanko got complicated five days before his death. Eventually, on the 30th of May 2012 around 3 pm, the heart of this great man stopped beating forever. Later on, it was announced that his death occurred due to the pulmonary embolism.

Dzanko is remembered for his red plaid shirt and cult series “Positive geography”, which saved from oblivion many regions, people and their customs.

Early death of Nisvet Dzanko left all those that he was talking about for years and that he visited to fell into oblivion, hoping that at least once again in their lives a big man as Džanko will come to their neighborhood.

Until then, if something like that even happens ever again, we will be watching replays of the series “Positive geography”, which saves the memory of the legendary TV host, his special style, plaid shirt and people that he spoke about.
