The BiH Ministry of Security and the Committee to mark the Day of Safter Internet in BiH (SID Committee BiH) will once again organize the marking of Safer Internet Day.

Celebrating Safer Internet Day is just one in a series of activities that this organization is individually and jointly implementing, whose aim is to familiarize children and parents on the risks of the Internet and on how to protect themselves.

The activities to mark Safer Internet Day will occur for the third year in BiH in cooperation with the network Insafe.

The network Insafe organizes an event every year at the beginning of February with the goal to promote a safer and more responsible use of online technologies and mobile phones, and especially among children and youth throughout the world.

The topic of this year’s celebration throughout Europe will be online rights and responsibility under the slogan ‘’Connect with Respect’’.

The celebration this year in BiH will occur in cooperation with the police in Brčko District and the Association of Teachers and Professors of Information in Sarajevo Canton. They will call on their members to celebrate this day in all primary and secondary schools in Sarajevo Canton, and to cooperate with several primary and secondary schools in Tuzla, Tešanj, Banovići, Goražde and Zvornik.

This central event will be held in the ‘’Srednja Zubotehnička’’ school in Sarajevo, where they will speak with students on the safe use of the Internet.
