Representatives of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Government and the trade union representing employees who receive their salary from the CS budget have reached an agreement on the payment of a salary supplement for the year 2023, in the amount of 100 BAM.

The agreement will be signed on February 23rd, and it will be implemented so that after the adoption of this year’s budget, a monthly allowance in the net amount of 100 BAM will be calculated for all employees who receive their salary from the cantonal budget.

It was also agreed that in the months until the adoption of the budget, this allowance will be paid retroactively.

”The government chose this mechanism as a kind of intervention measure due to the impact of inflation in order to ensure a linear increase for all employees,” said Acting Prime Minister of CS Darja Softic Kadenic.

Expressing her satisfaction that an agreement was reached between the Government and the trade union, she added that the amount required for the payment of the supplement fits into the amount of the budget increase planned in the draft.

It should be mentioned that on February 8th, the Assembly of the CS adopted the Draft Budget of the CS for 2023 in the amount of 1,193,051,352 BAM, and sent it to a public debate lasting 20 days.
