Šantić: Heavy Rainfall in Northern Parts of BiH, Stable Weather on Sunday

weather 2, radiosarajevoHeavy rainfall is expected today in northern parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to Damir Šantić from the FBiH Hydro-meteorological Institute (FHMZ), showers will hit Herzegovina in the afternoon.

Yesterday, 20 to 50 liters of rain per square meter fell in northern Bosnia but less rainfall occured in the rest of the country.

He stressed that “similar weather is expected tomorrow but showers are also expected in the latter part of the day”. Heavy rainfall is also expected tomorrow afternoon and similar weather is forecasted on Friday.

 

Sunny weather can be expected on Saturday afternoon, Šantić said, adding that “more stable weather and higher temperatures” are expected on Sunday. He emphasized that “showers will occur next week but not to this extent.”
