Pope FrancisThere is a great interest of the believers for the appearance on the Mass of Pope Francis in Sarajevo on June 6, which will be held at the stadium “Asim Ferhatović Hase” (Koševo) from which a message of peace will be sent.

Reverend Dr. Tomo Mlakić, head of the Catechist office of the Vrhbosne archdiocese and head of the Office for application and registration of the believers in Sarajevo, pointed out that the last week in April was concluded with about 30 000 applications. According to him, so far the most applications came from all parts of Croatia, and the Split-Makarska archdiocese is leading.

A large number of applications is coming from Herzegovina. Applications are coming from the Croatian Catholic missions from abroad (Austria, Germany, Switzerland), as well as from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Egypt etc.

Regarding the meeting in Sarajevo Cathedral of the Sacred Hearts, many nuns and other religious vocations applied.

“It’s important to point out that we will be accepting applications until 11th of May, 2015. All applications will go through the parishes. And those who will come by cars should report in their parishes and from there will take their tickets – says Reverend Mlakić.

All believers who wish to participate in the celebration of Mass with Pope Francis on 6th of June, 2015 at Koševo stadium should apply in their parish office and the pastor will then report their believers to the Office for application and registration of the believers in Sarajevo.

In the Office for application and registration of the believers so far a few unusual applications has arrived – one believer will arrive on foot from Pakrač, some bikers will come from all sides, and bikers from Croatia and Herzegovina were announced as well.

“There is no doubt that stadium Koševo will be full,” says Reverend Mlakić noting that after the 11th of May one big reference with all details about the arrival of believers will be released.
