The election day in Sarajevo Canton is taking place in a safe environment – it was confirmed by the Police Department of the MoJ of Sarajevo Canton.

By 12 o’clock, the police officers of the Sarajevo Canton MoI Police Department responded to calls for interventions, which concerned situations that the callers assessed as “behavior that is not in accordance with the rules that apply on election day”, with the fact that no breach of security that would endanger the election process itself was recorded.

In the area of the municipality of Centar, one intervention was recorded due to verbal disagreements between the members of the election commission, which was made an official note.

Three interventions were recorded in the Ilijaš municipality. In two cases, it was reported that party activists were handing out promotional material near the polling station, and in both cases the material in question was confiscated on the basis of a misdemeanor.

The third intervention in the territory of this municipality related to the verbal protest of one voter due to the “unclear voting procedure”, who was warned about the obligation to respect public order and peace.

No police interventions were recorded in the territory of other municipalities.
