The Sarajevo City Council upheld the decision to award the collective April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo in 2025 to the BIMA Medical Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), it was announced by the City Administration.
At yesterday’s session, chaired by the Chairman of the City Council Jasmin Ademovic, the Council considered the request of the Mayor of Sarajevo Predrag Puharic to review the said decision but did not annul it.
After the introductory presentation by the mayor, who explained the reasons for submitting the request for review of the decision, and an extensive discussion by the city councilors, the decision to annul the Decision on awarding the collective April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo in 2025 was not adopted.
The City Council upheld its decision to award the collective April 6th Award to the BIMA Medical Association in BiH for, as stated, significant achievements and significant work results in the field of health and social care, which BIMA activists have been achieving for many years.
The City Council adopted the initiative of councilor Ratko Orozovic to consider the possibility of erecting a bust dedicated to Branislav Nusic, one of the founders and first directors of the Sarajevo National Theatre.
