Sarajevo City Hall illuminated in Colours of Palestinian Flag

Yesterday evening, the Sarajevo City Hall was illuminated with colours of Palestinian flag in solidarity with the Palestinian victims.

“The city hall was illuminated with the Palestinian flag tonight, in solidarity with all innocent victims and their families,” Sarajevo Mayor Benjamina Karic said on Twitter.

Palestinian militants launched dozens of rockets from Gaza and Israel unleashed new air strikes in retaliation early on Tuesday, in an escalation triggered by soaring tensions in Jerusalem and days of clashes at an iconic mosque in the holy city.

At least 22 people, including nine children, were killed in Gaza overnight, most of them in Israeli strikes, according to Hamas, the militant group which rules Gaza.

More than 700 Palestinians were hurt in clashes with Israeli security forces in Jerusalem and across the West Bank in 24 hours, including nearly 500 who were treated at hospitals. The Israeli military said six Israeli civilians were hurt by rocket fire, ABC news writes.
