Sarajevo was the host of the high level meeting organized by the Foundation Shared Societies and Values and the Centre for Promotion and Development of Belt and Road Initiative.

This important meeting gathers in one place numerous present and former heads of states and governments, leaders from the public and private sector, and prominent members of the academic community and civil society.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country which faces many challenges, and events of this kind, offering the experiences of others and discussion on perspectives for the coming decades, are of great importance.

Mayor Abdulah Skaka stressed that economic relations between China and BiH have been greatly strengthened through the mechanism „16+1“, within the framework of which the City of Sarajevo has made contact and cooperation with Beijing.

„I am very pleased that Sarajevo has been recognized as an important link within the framework of the initiative as well as the mechanism 16+1, and we are determined to give our maximum contribution in this respect“, said Skaka.

The mutual introduction of visa-free regime between Bosnia and Herzegovina and China, will significantly contribute to the improvement of our relations and exchanges in all areas. The initiatives of this kind enable quality projects from our country to have a chance to enter the world’s most populous market
