The great success of the Sarajevo students is confirmation that extremely smart and talented young people are growing up in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

”After work that lasted almost the entire school year, followed by qualification and the online STEM Olympiad, the students of the second grade of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the Sarajevo High School competed in the STEM Grand Final Olympiad, which lasted from July 19th to 24th, 2022. The Olympiad was held in Frankfurt, and students from all over the world competed in different academic disciplines.”

”Matea Sarkinovic, Mona Husein, Soraja Salcin, Kamran Karic, Ammar Pasanovic, Ian Lalic, and Rijad Pejkusic are talented students who, each of them individually, and therefore as a team, won gold medals in the Popular Science discipline (biology, physics, and integrated chemistry). Namely, the first 10 students in the world are all gold medal winners, the next 10 silver, and the next 10 bronze. Our Matea is the best in the top 10,” it was announced from the Second Gymnasium in Sarajevo.
