Due to the thick fog that hung over Sarajevo, the International Airport was forced to cancel flights, as well as to extend them until the conditions for flying are met.

Due to bad weather conditions caused by fog, flights to Vienna, Zagreb and Istanbul were canceled this morning, they confirmed from Sarajevo International Airport.

As they pointed out, according to information from their weather service, the weather conditions should improve during the day, so the realization of the flights planned for today’s flight schedule will depend on that.

We will also remind you that the flights that were supposed to go to Zagreb, Vienna and Istanbul last night from Sarajevo Airport were also cancelled. Also, incoming flights from Vienna, Istanbul and Zagreb were cancelled.

This morning the air quality index is 212 and is considered very unhealthy. The concentration of PM2.5 in Sarajevo at six o’clock this morning is 31.4 times higher than recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). High levels of these pollutants can cause respiratory problems, cardiovascular disease and other health complications, Klix.ba reports.
