With the arrival of autumn days and slightly cooler weather, Sarajevo was once again affected by an already common problem – air pollution – on the penultimate day of October.
As reported by the IQAir website, an air pollution index of 168 was recorded in Sarajevo, which is rated as unhealthy air.
Moreover, as stated on the website, at this moment in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the concentration of harmful PM2.5 is 17.8 times higher than prescribed by the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO).
When it comes to the forecast in the coming days, IQAir announces that the air in Sarajevo will continue to be polluted and that the improvement is only announced from November 5th, when the first precipitation is expected.
However, taking into account the history of this problem in the capital, it is certain that air pollution will be a common situation in the coming months.
