The Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, submitted to the City Council a proposal for a decision on giving consent for initiating the procedure of realization of the project of placing two masts with the flags of BiH and the city at the eastern entrance to Sarajevo from East Sarajevo.

If she obtains the consent of the City Council, Karic will, through the competent services, carry out and complete procedure of setting flags in the Old Town, and the funds for the project will be provided in the city budget for next year.

The position of the proponents is that the City of Sarajevo in this way protects and builds the statehood of BiH and emphasizes the importance and role of its capital, which, as it is stated, is certainly their obligation.
Councilors should decide on this initiative at a session in early November.
