“We gathered dozens of writers from B&H, the region and the world. I feel at ease and I am happy because I saw that this city loves poetry. All lectures were highly visited, discussions were intense.” – said the president of the Writers Association of B&H, Dževad Karahasan.

The winners of the “Bosanski stećak” award are: Juan Goytisolo (Spain), Boris Novak (Slovenia), Christopher Merill (USA), Tadeusz Rozevicz (Poland), Abdulah Sidran (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Luko Paljetak (Croatia), Ivan Kordić (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Stevan Tontić (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Mahmud Derviš (Palestine), Ottó Tolnai (Hungary), Petar Gudelj (Croatia), Ibrahim Hadžic (Serbia), Mirjana Stefanović (Serbia).

The award was also assigned posthumously to Mirko Kovač, Jaša Zlobec and his father.

The mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić congratulated to all winners.
