Sarajevo records Increase in Number of Coronavirus Cases

In the past 24 hours, 16 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton, and 609 people were tested.

10 people recovered from Covid-19, and in the same period there were no deaths as a result of this infection.

Currently, 29 patients are being treated at the hospital, 12 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 17 at the General Hospital "Prim.dr Abdulah Nakas". One patient is on a respirator and one patient is using oxygen support to breathe.

Sarajevo Canton today records 77 active cases of infection. There are currently 673 people in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 52,823 people infected with coronavirus and 51,459 cured have been registered in Sarajevo Canton.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days the average number of infected is eight, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 14.

Yesterday, 1,083 people were vaccinated in CS, and immunization continues today, according to the plan of the CS Health Insurance Institute.
