Sarajevo records New Cases of Coronavirus

The results of PCR and antigen testing in the past 24 hours confirmed 356 new cases of coronavirus infection in Sarajevo Canton.

According to the Canton Sarajevo Public Health Institute, 501 people recovered from the Covid-19 infection in the same period.

One patient died as a result of this disease.

Currently, 172 patients are in hospital, 162 of whom have an acute infection.

The share of unvaccinated persons in the number of hospitalized is 86.63 percent.

105 patients are being treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 67 at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”. There are two people using respirator, 10 of them use non-invasive ventilation, while three patients are on oxygen breathing support.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 4,224 active cases of Covid-19 infection. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 103,642 people infected with coronavirus have been registered in Sarajevo Canton, while 97,551 have been cured.

“The weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 455,” according to the Public Health Institute of CS.
