Sarajevo sees a Record Number of Tourist Arrivals during the SFF

According to statistical data, during this year’s, 30th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Canton of Sarajevo was the most visited compared to all recorded statistics of tourist arrivals and overnight stays during the past years.

“Statistics of the Canton Sarajevo Tourist Board show that during the Sarajevo Film Festival, nearly 40,000 arrivals and more than 83,000 overnight stays were recorded in Sarajevo Canton,” confirmed Haris Fazlagić, president of the CS Tourist Board.

The number of tourist arrivals during the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2024 compared to the SFF in 2023 increased by 16.5 percent, while compared to 2022, it increased by 55.8 percent, and compared to 2019. year by 71.9 percent.

The number of overnight stays by tourists during the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2024 compared to the SFF in 2023 increased by 8.5 percent, while compared to 2022 it increased by 46 percent, and compared to 2019 by 64.9 percent.

Most tourists were from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden and Turkey.

“We are extremely satisfied with these statistical indicators as well as with all of this year’s statistical measurements, and among other things, they are a good motivation for us to work and invest more in tourism and build Sarajevo as a more desirable tourist destination. Thank you to everyone who is part of these statistics and invite them to come again to Sarajevo and truly enjoy all its beauties and our unique tourist offer,” said Fazlagić, Klix.ba writes.
