Numerous tourists and citizens could be seen on Sarajevo’s central streets yesterday, and many decided to visit the historical sights of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
A large number of guests from different parts of the world decided to spend their vacation or a few days off in Sarajevo this summer.
Numerous visitors are particularly noticeable in the old town of Sarajevo, which is particularly attractive to guests coming to the BiH capital.
During July of this year, a total of 2,722,617 people entered Bosnia and Herzegovina, while 2,596,774 people left during the same period.
Comparing the data with the same month last year, it can be concluded that this year there was a slight increase in traffic across the state border, by about 0.5 percent at the entrance to BiH and 1.7 percent at the exit from BiH, was stated to Fena from BiH Border Police.
They further state that during July of this year, the most citizens of BiH entered BiH, followed by citizens of Croatia, Serbia, Germany, Poland and Slovenia, which is equal to the structure of entry into BiH by nationality of persons last year in July.
In the same period, at several border crossings, at certain intervals during the day, increased traffic of people and vehicles was recorded, which caused waiting times longer than 60 minutes.
The Border Police say that this happened most often at the Deleuša International Border Crossing and at the Zupci, Ivanica, Brod and Velika Kladuša crossings.
