155 Thousand Tourists visited the Federation of BiH in September

The total number of tourist arrivals in September 2024 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was 155,430, which is 9.6 percent more than in September 2023, and 19.9 percent less than in August 2024. The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of arrivals was 20.9 percent, and foreign tourists 79.1 percent.

The total number of overnight stays by tourists in September 2024 was 295,554, which is 7.6 percent more compared to September 2023, and compared to August 2024, it is 29.5 percent less. The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 21.4 percent, and foreign tourists 78.6 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within the type of Hotels and similar accommodation with a participation of 95.4 percent, according to data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most overnight stays in September this year were made by tourists from: Turkey (11.6 percent), Saudi Arabia (8.2 percent), Croatia (7.0 percent), Poland (5.6 percent) and the USA (5.3 percent), which is a total of 37.7 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 62.3 percent of overnight stays.

The number of available beds in September 2024 was 32,594, which is 5.4 percent more than in September 2023. The net occupancy rate for hotels and similar accommodation in the Federation of BiH was 33.8 percent.
