Sarajevo: the most beautiful Yards and Balconies displaying Flower Arrangements Elected

[wzslider autoplay=”true”]As in previous years, Ilidža Municipality has this year as well, organized the selection of the most beautiful yards and balconies displaying flower arrangements, aiming at preserving the tradition of the gardens of Ilidža, but also at raising citizen’s awareness of the importance of environmental protection and the improvement of tourist attractions.

Of the thirty applicants who responded to the public invitation, and who the commission visited, the best were chosen and received their awards yesterday from the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality Senaid Memić.

“We did not reward you, you rewarded us with this beauty that ennobles and creates an atmosphere for the eyes and soul. Continue arranging and maintaining your gardens and balconies”, said Mayor Memić.

The first prize for the most beautiful garden was awarded to Amir Čaušević from Sokolović-Kolonija; second place went to Enisa Kečo from Hrasnica, and the third to Rahima Glođo from Ilidža.

The most beautiful balcony with a flower arrangement is Slavica Zilić’s from Otes; the second place went to Hadija Skalonjić from Hrasnica, and the third to Mehudina Glođo, also from Hrasnica.

Ilidža Municipality provided financial rewards for all of them, in the category of the most beautiful yard 500 BAM for the first place, 400 BAM for the second and 300 BAM for the third place.

First prize for the most beautiful balcony is 300 BAM, the second 200 BAM and the third prize is 100 BAM.

Enisa Kečo, whose garden won the second place, part of financial reward in the amount of 400 BAM she will donate to one of the families from Ilidža which is in social need.
