“100 Miles of Istria” is the biggest Croatian trail race. Originally established in 2013 with only 237 competitors, this competition has now evolved into an event with over 1000 competitors and one of the most important trail running events in the region. It is ITRA certified, a qualification race for the UTMB and for the WSER.

The participants in front of Sarajevo Trail Running Association were Nermina Grierson, Amir Bašić, Dževad Bešlagić, Armin Mahmutović, Adnan Dedić, Azra Kaljanac, Amila Šunje-Rizvan, Benjamin Krnić, and Mirsad Kličić.

Nermina Grierson, Amir Bašić, Dževad Bešlagić, Armin Mahmutović, Adnan Dedić and Mirsad Kličić competed in the 42 kilometres race, while Benjamin Krnić, Azra Kaljanac and Amila Šunje-Rizvan ran 110 kilometres.

BiH’s competitors managed the Istrian miles and kilometres, happy to succeed in their ventures for which they have been preparing for months. The organizational and technical conditions of the race were ideal, as well as the weather. BiH runners ended their races without serious injuries and are happy with the achieved results.

This race is a plume among world races and participating in such an event gives the runner even more strength and will to progress and achieve better results in other competitions.
