Sasa Popovic passed away at the Age of 70

Saša Popović passed away today at the age of 70, after a short and serious illness, Grand Produkcija announced today.

The statement from Grand Produkcija in full:

With unspeakable sadness, we inform the public that today, after a short and serious illness, Saša Popović, founder and creative director of Grand Produkcija, passed away.

Aleksandar Saša Popović was born on April 24, 1954 in Novi Sad.

Through decades of work, he was a visionary and dedicated professional. Through music and television, he discovered and supported numerous talents, shaping the sound and spirit of an era.

His energy, dedication and creativity will live forever through the songs, artists, shows and everything he created. The legacy he left behind is immeasurable and marked the time in which he lived.

In addition to being a visionary, Saša Popović was also a family man, husband and father, who found his greatest happiness in the circle of his closest friends. Married to Suzana, with whom he shared years of love and support, he raised his children Aleksandra and Danijela, to whom he was an immense support and pillar.

His charisma, tireless work and passion for music and television will leave an indelible mark. His legacy will live on through all who had the privilege of working with him and through all those whose lives he touched.

Information about the commemoration and funeral will be announced at a later date.
